Drawing, painting and sculpting
Jen Falvy
I’m inspired by the concept of drawing as a way of seeing and the idea that being able to draw helps us better understand the world around us. In many ways drawing is a foundation to the arts but it's also a path to learning. My love of sculpture is an extension of this concept, for in reality, sculpture is just drawing in three dimension but with an added element - that magical feeling of being able to create something by hand when bringing form to an idea.

My experience as an instructor is rooted in my love of learning and wanting to share that with others. Over the years I've delivered countless classes to students ranging in age from 5 years to 85 and I've worked in varying capacities from vulnerable youth to private schools, seniors in residences and after-school programs. My primary focus is always to instil the spark of creative joy in the lives of others.

Carolyne Wagland
Carolyne’s artworks are informed by creative instincts she’s honed over her career as a graphic designer. She paints with vivid colours, and enjoys the freedom of brush movement that larger canvases allow. Many creations make their way from canvas and traditional illustrative techniques into digital workspaces, and are often integrated into her graphic design work.

As an instructor she imparts her knowledge of colour, paint and design to her students. Her work is primarily in acrylic with subjects usually approached from a close-up view to include the people, places, and things that have captivated her attention. Carolyne takes her skill and experience as a painter and encourages students to find their unique view of the world.
